If you’re a diver, you can join iNaturalist to share your underwater observations. iNaturalist is a platform accessible via a website and mobile app, designed for individuals to document organisms they encounter in nature. It allows users to share their observations, receive assistance with identifications, and explore observations made by others worldwide.

At ProyectoSub, we encourage divers to utilize iNaturalist and are actively developing projects on the platform to collect observations of marine invertebrates, fish, and algae from various coastal regions. This data is invaluable for our research, as it allows us to analyze the current distribution of species with the assistance of divers along the Argentine coast. We invite you to explore our projects and review the data we’ve gathered.

We have developed a Marine Species Identification Guide for Nuevo Gulf in Patagonia, Argentina. This guide provides information (available only in Spanish) and photographs of the most common species in the area. It can be downloaded to your mobile phone and used offline. To access the guide, download it through the iNaturalist app, allowing you to consult it without an internet connection. ​
